    I. Overview

    Dielectric loss and dielectric constant are important physical properties of various ceramic materials such as electrical porcelain, apparatus porcelain, and capacitors, as well as composite materials. By measuring the dielectric loss tangent tanδ and dielectric constant (ε), we can further understand the various factors affecting dielectric loss and dielectric constant, providing a basis for improving material performance; The basic principle of the instrument is to use high-frequency resonance method, and provides general, multi-purpose, multi-range impedance testing. It uses a single-chip microcomputer as the instrument control, with new technologies such as automatic Q-value range conversion and numerical display. The tuning circuit is improved, reducing the residual inductance of the tuning test circuit to a minimum, and retaining the automatic amplitude stabilization technology in the original Q meter, making the new instrument more convenient to use and the measured values more accurate. The instrument can measure the Q value of high-frequency inductors or resonant circuits, the inductance and distributed capacitance of inductors, the capacitance and loss tangent of capacitors, the high-frequency dielectric loss of electrical materials, the effective parallel and series resistance of high-frequency circuits, and the characteristic impedance of transmission lines under high test frequency conditions. This instrument is used by scientific research institutions, schools, and factories for application research on the performance of inorganic non-metallic new materials.
