    Xiangtan Xiangke DTM-II Dynamic Method Elastic Modulus Tester (Resonance Method)

    I.   Overview

    Every object has a natural resonant frequency. When the volume and material of an object are fixed, its resonant frequency is only related to its density. The strength of an object is related to its density; therefore, the natural vibration frequency of an object determines its strength. If the resonant frequency of the object can be measured, the strength of the object can be calculated based on the strength theory. This instrument is used to measure the resonant frequency of an object to calculate the elastic modulus of the object. It can be used to measure ceramics, graphite, glass, plastics, metals, etc. It is widely used in various production enterprises, scientific research units, universities, and quality inspection departments. Instrument reference standards: GB/T3074.2-2008 "Determination Method of Elastic Modulus of Graphite Electrodes", GB/T5594 Young's Modulus Test Method, and GB/T 2105, GB22315-2008 "Test Method for Elastic Modulus of Metallic Materials", etc.

    This instrument uses an imported data acquisition control card and is controlled by a computer to achieve fully automated testing, calculation, and reporting.

    II. Xiangtan Xiangke DTM-II Dynamic Method Elastic Modulus Tester (Resonance Method) Main Technical Indicators

    1. Frequency measurement range: 100Hz~50 kHz;

    2. Frequency resolution: 0.01Hz;

    3. Measurement error: <0.5%;

    4. Test temperature: Equipped with a sample environmental temperature controller, it can be measured at various temperatures. (Can be customized according to user requirements);

    5. Environmental conditions: 0~40℃, relative humidity <90%.

    6. Power supply: AC220V±10%, 50Hz.

    III. Working Principle

    The computer controls the data acquisition control card to output a sine wave signal from low to high frequency to the transmitting probe. The oscillation of the transmitting probe is transmitted to the sample, forcing the sample to perform mechanical vibration. When the emission frequency is the same as the natural frequency of the sample, resonance will occur. At this time, the vibration amplitude of the sample will reach an extreme value. The signal is transmitted to the data acquisition control card through the receiving sensor probe and then back to the computer. The computer finds the resonant frequency according to the frequency scan and then calculates the elastic modulus based on the sample weight and dimensions input to the computer.

    Instrument configuration: including DTM-II One testing host (including an imported data acquisition card), one set of exciter and receiver, one set of test stand and connecting lines, one set of software, one desktop computer.

    Note: Support-type or hanging-type testing methods are optional.
