I. Overview
Every object has a natural resonant frequency. When the volume and material of an object are fixed, its resonant frequency is only related to its density. The strength of an object is related to its density; therefore, the natural vibration frequency of an object determines its strength. If the resonant frequency of the object can be measured, the strength of the object can be calculated based on the strength theory. The elastic modulus tester is an instrument that measures the resonant frequency of an object to calculate the elastic modulus of the object. It can be used to measure ceramics, graphite, glass, plastics, metals, etc. Elastic modulus testers are widely used in various production enterprises, scientific research units, universities, and quality inspection departments. Elastic modulus tester reference standards: GB/T3074.2-2008 "Determination method of elastic modulus of graphite electrodes", GB/T5594 Young's modulus test method, and GB/T 2105, GB22315-2008 "Test methods for elastic modulus of metallic materials", etc.
The elastic modulus tester uses an imported data acquisition and control card, controlled by a computer, to achieve full automation of testing, calculation, and reporting.
II. Xiangke DTM-II Resonance Dynamic Elastic Modulus Tester Main Technical Indicators
1. Frequency measurement range: 100Hz~50 kHz;
2. Frequency resolution: 0.01Hz;
3. Measurement error: less than 0.5%;
4. Test temperature: equipped with a sample environmental temperature controller, which can be measured at various temperatures. (Can be customized according to user requirements);
5. Environmental conditions: 0~40℃, relative humidity <90%.
6. Power supply: AC220V±10%, 50Hz.
7. Sample size: Length 120--180mm, for cylindrical and tubular materials, diameter (outer diameter) 4--20mm, length approximately 30 times the diameter, for rectangular rods, thickness approximately 1--4mm, width approximately 5--10mm.
III. Xiangke DTM-II Resonance Dynamic Elastic Modulus Tester Working Principle
The computer controls the data acquisition control card to output a sine wave signal from small to large to the transmitting probe. The oscillation of the transmitting probe is transmitted to the sample, forcing the sample to perform mechanical vibration. When the emission frequency is the same as the natural frequency of the sample, resonance will occur. At this time, the vibration amplitude of the sample will reach an extreme value. The data is transmitted through the receiving sensor probe to the data acquisition control card and then back to the computer. The computer finds the resonant frequency according to the frequency scan, and then calculates the elastic modulus according to the sample weight and dimensions input into the computer.
Instrument configuration: Includes one DTM-II testing host (including an imported data acquisition card), one set of exciter and receiver, one set of test stand and connecting wires, one set of software, and one desktop computer.
Note: Support-type or hanging-type testing methods are optional.
